Several studies in the past have shown that Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs may increase the risk of miscarriage. There has been a recent prospective study, which has again reiterated that the risk of miscarriage is increased in women who use Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs within the first two weeks of pregnancy. So women who are planning to conceive should avoid taking N0n-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs during pregnancy and also during the weeks leading up to trying for a pregnancy. They should be using pain relief like Paracetamol for analgesia if needed in that pre-conception period.
