Dr Bajra is a female Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who has trained in tertiary hospitals of Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania.
Since completing her Specialist Training in 2008, Dr Bajra worked as a Staff Specialist at Mater Mothers before establishing her private practice in 2010. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, a Member of the Australian Medical Association and Member of Australian Society of Ultrasound in Medicine.
Caring, compassionate and empathetic, Dr Bajra understands what a stressful time it can be when a patient experiences health problems or the uncertainty that can come with even a routine pregnancy. She is committed to remaining up to date with all the latest research and procedures so that her patients can count on the best possible care at all times.
Her special interest in high risk and complex obstetric situations such as severe pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, multiple pregnancies and intra-uterine growth restriction have grown Dr Bajra’s expertise immensely. She is experienced in complex pelvic surgery, laparoscopic surgery and infertility treatments including IVF.
Dr Bajra is a Senior Lecturer with the University of Queensland, in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. She is also involved in the training and education of medical students at the Wesley Clinical School and is involved in a Basic Surgical Skills workshop for Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainees.
Dr Bajra is softly-spoken and a great listener who effortlessly instills confidence in and earns the trust of her patients.
